Hemlock Grove Season 2 Premiere Date Announced!
Okay so I admit, Hemlock Grove isn’t the best show in the universe. But this is the thing about B-movies: they’re like a train-wreck you can’t help watching. But there’s a trick to watching B-movies and TV shows that are made like B-movies—you see the underlying message, you enjoy the endless gore and you root for the hot people running around half-naked on screen. Hemlock Grove is an Eli Roth production, so this is B-movie style TV show at its best.
Personally, I love the Brian McGreevy book more, it has all the elements of abstract, surreal writing and I love the idea of that artistic style being teamed with horror, a genre that’s often just thought of as a ‘genre’ and as though no one can produce any ‘real’ fiction from it. But the show is directed by McGreevy and while he’s tried to retain the surreal nature of the story, sometimes the terrible acting can be a little annoying.
Thankfully, Bill Skarsgard and Dougray Scott are enough reason for me to keep going *wink*
So the date for Hemlock Grove Season 2 Premiere is April 19, 2014!
I’m actually excited to see the new direction the show’s going to take and *spoiler alert* now that Roman is the big shot vampire boss thing. I hope he gets really evil. Like really really evil, and I want to know how things work out for the Rumanceks and if Peter and Roman are going to have at least a few bloody fist fights.
